Sweet baby - Sympathy

Hi Everyone...

I have a card here I was asked to make for a couple who lost their sweet 5 month old baby girl.....So sad...

Here is the card:

I just got these angels wings a short while ago, they are a ODBD die cut, The paper is SU Prettiest Pink,(retired & missed) and whisper white, the ribbon is also from SU (retired)

The Cross is from ODBD... also a die set... I used 2 of them, the smaller on top of the larger.

A very simple card to make, I wanted to keep it soft...I thought the feathers added that perfect component.

Recipe:
Stamps: ODBD Carried to Heaven, Dies: ODBD Angel Wings Dies, And Ornamental Crosses,
Paper: Pink, white
Ink: Memento black
Accessories: SU Ribbon retired, EF, Feathers, Tiny Bow, Foam tape, Liquid Glue, Glue Gun, & Love:

Thanks for Looking:

TSC0308 - Sympathy in Pink

Hi Everyone...Welcome to my blog...

We at the Twisted Sisters have a challenge this week to do a Sympathy card...(I sad to say) had to do 5...the neighbours asked for four, and I did one from myself...

This is One of the cards....it went to the wife of a dear gentleman...

I fell in love with this DSP...wish I had tons of it....

I thought the octagons would go better with the fancy octagons, but they didn't....but I used them anyways....the roses were white, and I just sponged some pink on them to match.

A close up of the flowers, got them at Michaels...the small ones were in the 1.50 bin...and they didn't have enough of them....hope they get more in.

Recipe:
Stamps: Su Thanks for caring
Paper: White, DSP, WC Paper for base,
Ink: Momento Black, Pink for sponging
Accessories: Spellbinders, Fancy Octagons, and Plain, MS leaf Punch, Spellbinders leaf Die, Flat lace, Ribbon, Foam Tape, Liquid Glue, Glue Gun, & Love

Thanks for dropping by...comments are always welcome...

This is my take on the challenge......I chose to do clouds

My card is a shaped card...<---- here is a tutorial on that...
I chose the largest Die in the Spellbinders # 17, and ran it through my die cut Machine just leaving a little out of the cut to make an edge for standing...you can see this at the top...

After colouring my card........I noticed it looked so peaceful and serene...so I didn't want to add alot of bling, but it had to have a bow...so hard to do a card without a bow or lace...but this one didn't require lace...also the verse is from the set, but I only used the first part of the verse...lack of room mostly.

Recipe:
ODBD Stamp Set: Quiet Waters
Paper: Navy, Blue DSP, Copic White(for Image),  Whisper White,
Ink: Memento Black, Copics, Navy for sponging
Accessories: Spellbinders # 17, Big Shot, Navy Satin Ribbon, Foam Tape, Liquid Glue, &  Love.
