I have a card I did for a friend for her boyfriend...He has a fish tank, quite a hobby...so she wanted a card with fish on it...so this is what I came up with....
My daughter send me some DSP with fish on it...So I used that for the BG, and then fussy cut out some of the plants, and some more fish from another scrap piece, and popped them on foam dots...

There is no way I could catch the depth on camera, but it is all popped on foam dots, and I added gravel, shells, etc. on the bottom of the tank...
It did turn out very well....and looked realistic....
